    • Initiatives and projects in the following EU countries: Germany 7, Spain 1, Italy 3, Poland 10
    • Small-scale support – up to EUR 5000.-: 13
    • Medium-scale support – up to EUR 25.000.-: 38
    • Large-scale support  up to EUR 50.000.-: 4
    • 10 initiatives supported under thematic area 1: counteracting disinformation, misinformation, propaganda filter bubbles, fake news, ongoing war ‘infodemic’ by supporting independent, alternative, and trusted European (digital) media;
    • 17 initiatives supported under thematic area 2: providing and nourishing safe cultural spaces for individuals fleeing their homes and looking for shelter in exile or in Ukraine;
    • 21 initiatives supported under thematic area 3: counteracting forces of fragmentation through artistic and cultural expressions that provide hope to withstand the harsh realities of war and to act for a peaceful future of Ukraine and Europe

 

  • Requests for support received: in total over 220; Ukraine: 95, Germany: 24, Spain 1, Italy 27, Poland 25.  

 

With the 55 selected initiatives and an additional waiting list identified, the fund has now allocated the up to now pooled 1.000.000 EUR nearly in full.
